By investing earlier in aspiring first-generation lawyers from underrepresented populations and Title-1 high schools, we democratize the law by redistributing legal knowledge and legal power, while working toward a legal profession with the language skills and cultural competencies to serve all Americans.
YJA invests the time and resources needed to foster the development of confident, passionate, well-rounded lawyers. These are the precise type of lawyers Scott Douglass & McConnico seeks to hire. YJA’s thoughtful approach to selecting program participants who want to become first-generation lawyers is particularly compelling. We are honored to play a part in helping these students on their path to successful legal careers.
